SPECIAL AGENT INFOMRATION SHEETS
This is our special agent information sheet which is over all, our sign up sheet to get into this years program. This helped getting to know each and every child in the program. This was also helpful to divide them into groups.
SPECIAL AGENT I.D. CARDS
These I.D. Cards were to be held onto and brought to every program that child came too. When a children brought this in, they got extra points. You can really decorate them up. But we kept them very simple.
*The little clipart girl was taken from Word*
Name Tags
For the Name Tags we separated them an put them to groups.
PRE-K: Seceret Service Badge
1st-2nd: DETECTIVE NAME TAG
\
3rd-5th: SPECIAL AGENT NAME TAG
LOG SHEETS
These logs sheets were given to families as they signed up for the program. Logs Sheets were to be where children kept track of what books they have read. This also helps if children did not remember what books they have or have not read. This also was a great way to tally how many books the children were reading. They brought this with them every week to see if they met their weekly goal.
FRONT SIDE OF PAGE
BACK SIDE OF PAGE
This is the front side of out log sheet. The top is where the childrens name would be. The lines underneath that is where you would put the title of the book as well as the Author. But the Author was not required.
ALL BADGES WERE TAKEN OFF OF GOOGLE.COM
This is the back side of the log sheet above. When I screen shot the log sheet, the lines go funny. But you can make your own log sheet on a WORD document. But we always put our information on it. How long the program is, as well as our name.
Here is another way we created our Log sheets. We made these as children ran out of our log sheets above! We had alot of children read this year! What a blessing!
Week Two Information
The information below is everything we did during week two. From songs, to games, to our own originals.
At the beginning of our day, we handed out pins that said, "Super Paleontologist!". Once we handed them that pin, we told them today they were going to be using their imagination to be a paleontologist. You could also hand this out at the end of the program to say they did a great day and being a super paleontologist!
During our program, we also taught the chidren about what fossils are and what job paleontology is about. That information we shared I have added.
For the games we played this week were , Dino DVD, and Dino Puzzle Maze. Those games directions I have added. You could always alter these games to your liking. We mainly used these games with the older kids, but you can do these with younger kids. .
This game is called Name That Dino!
This game we played with the older kids, 3rd-5th graders. This game can be played as one on one competion or together as a group.
The started at one side of the library, they were given a slip of paper. They were told to find a said book (listed on the slip). Once they found that said book, they were given tasks to do.
Those being
-
- What dinosaur are you looking up
-
- Is that dinosaur a Plant or Meat Eater?
-
- Write some important info about that Dino
-
-
Once they felt that had the right dinosaur, they came back to where they started. We went over all the animals they children found.
Here is an example of those game slips i have added for you to see.
